At Paragon ISC, we take students’ future to heart. Therefore, we annually organise activities and events that have a future impact on student learning. Career Days gives us an excellent opportunity to introduce different professions to our students, and they may consider one for their future career. This time, we decided to add ‘nursing’ to the list, allowing our students especially those at upper primary level to be more informed of their decision.
We were privileged to be able to invite Ms. Debbie Alcantara, the Chief of Nursing Department at Central Hospital. Having been in Cambodia for more than five years has helped her see the demand for this profession, especially among Cambodian people, and she found it to be a brilliant opportunity to inspire young minds.
During the session, the students were able to see the importance of this profession and appreciate the services provided by these caring and attentive professionals to patients with varied health issues. The event ended with a positive hope that some of the students would consider choosing it as their future career.
